Bio  & CV 

Chafik Samir is an Associate Professor at The University of Clermont Auvergne (UCA), France. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Vision from Lille 1 University of Science and Technology in 2007. After spending two years as a post-doc at UCL, Belgium, he joined UCA as an Assistant Professor in 2009. His main research interests involve fitting curves on Riemannian manifolds, statistical shape analysis, medical imaging, computer vision, and their application to real-world problems.
